She competed in Miss Columbus 1985. Miss Columbus 1985 and won the title by kissing the crown and defeating all of her opponents. The winner was entitled, as because of this win to compete in the Miss Georgia Pageant in June of 1985. On June 22 in 1985, she was also crowned the contest. Mohr was selected to represent Georgia as well as the state of Georgia for Miss America 1986's pageant that was held at Atlantic City New Jersey. However, she was not an official Top 10 finalist in the Miss America national title.
